Rosneft up/downstream company released a handful of news releases to update its operations.
The first one regards the starting of drilling operations at Block-12 in Iraq. Salman-1 well will be drilled to the measured depth of 4,245 m through Kurra Chine target horizon to be followed by further testing of five prospective targets. The company plans to complete drilling in July 2017. Rosneft group acts as the operator of the exploration and development of Block 12. China based company Zhongman Petroleum and Natural Gas Group is the general drilling contractor.
The second one deals with the Solimoes Project in Brazil, where Rosneft Brasil started the drilling of the first exploration well. Rosneft is commencing the next phase of the exploration program in the Amazon region as operator following its purchase of PetroRio’s interest in 2015. The Company expects to perform the drilling and well testing and evaluation in Q2 2017.
The last one is the discovery of new oilfields by Udmurtneft in Russia, Vesennee and Pikhtovkinskoe. Vesennee field was found as a result of drilling an exploratory well with daily flow rate of 62 m3 of dry crude oil per day. Oil-bearing capacity of Vereiskian, Bashkir, Visean and Tournaisian deposits at the eponymous structure of Votkinsk licence area was confirmed. Pikhtovkinskoe field was discovered due to drilling an exploratory well with daily flow rate of 15 m3 at Pikhtovkinsk structure of Sharkansk licence area. Oil-bearing capacity of Vereiskian deposits was confirmed, and oil-bearing capacity of Zavolzhsk deposits was first found.
