Through effective collaboration and timely execution, the Masoneilan team has successfully installed ValvAware and Baker Hughes Valve Lifecycle Management solutions in the Cartagena Refinery in Colombia.
After demonstrating the advantages of SVI Digital Positioners and accompanying diagnostic software, Baker Hughes channel partner Smart Instruments built out a SmartLab at their Bogota MARC Service Center to show data capture with a PLC / HART OPC Server and several valves with SVI 2AP and SVI 3 in continuous operation.
The customer was presented with the testing results, and after a pilot test on site, approved the installation of a number of valves and SVI II AP positioners, with ValvAware diagnostic software for support.
SVI II AP Digital Valve Positioners are being installed on new and existing valves in the refinery, and ValvAware is online enabling condition-based monitoring in real process conditions without production interruption.
