Record-breaking IVS 2024: 15 thousand visitors from 69 countries

The fifth edition of IVS – Industrial Valve Summit, the leading international event focused on industrial valve technologies and flow control solutions, ended last Thursday with record numbers. On three days over 15,000 visitors from 69 countries visited the 325 exhibitors in the exhibition halls.

The attendees, who came representing all five continents, showed a 25% greater participation compared to the fourth appointment of the Industrial Valve Summit, when the event attracted 12 thousand visitors. The protagonists of IVS 2024 were the 325 exhibitors (+13% compared to the 2022 edition) from 14 countries: in addition to Italy, the companies represented the valve supply chains of Germany, Great Britain, the United States of America, France, Denmark , Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Turkey, Niger and the Czech Republic. The international component proved to be in great turmoil, with foreign companies doubling compared to the fourth edition and reaching 20% of the total of exhibitors.

The broad scientific program of IVS is also undergoing great development. A space that over the years has proven to be an agora in which to interpret change and delve into the latest technological innovations, identifying and analyzing the challenges of the sector. IVS 2024 offered 52 appointments including conferences, round tables, workshops, case studies and laboratories, constituting a plan that was more than 50% broader than the 34 moments of technical analysis of IVS 2022. To support the expansion of the calendar, the Summit organizers have created two new additional conference rooms in Pavilion C.

The event also consolidated the exhibition surfaces, which spread over over 15 thousand square meters divided into three pavilions. Numbers that tell how IVS has established itself as an essential event for the entire global supply chain connected to industrial valves and flow control.

On the occasion of the 2024 edition, the organizers have fueled the qualitative growth of the event, have increased the appointments of the exhibition program and enriched the collateral events, leading Industrial Valve Summit to extend from a two-day exhibition to a real week of valves.

The Summit opened on May 14th with the inaugural conference, during which the IVS-Prometeia Observatory “The Oil&Gas Valve Industry in Italy” 2024 was presented, which photographed the state of the art of the Italian sector of reference, sector of excellence of Made in Italy and leader in Europe. At the same time, the organizers opened the doors of the pavilions to IVS exhibitors as a preview: a premiere introduced to generate a precious opportunity for dialogue between the protagonists of the Summit.

Giovanna Ricuperati, President of Confindustria Bergamo, commented: “The 2024 edition has further highlighted the strategic importance of an event strongly desired and supported by the Association, born thanks to the virtuous collaboration of local companies, and which valorises in an international key an excellent supply chain. IVS has fully achieved the objective of drawing ever more attention to a cutting-edge sector, developing significant business opportunities and at the same time unique opportunities for discussion and in-depth analysis at a scientific and technological level destined to continue even beyond the Summit, in relation to the phase of great transformation that the energy sector is experiencing”.

Luciano Patelli, president of Promoberg, commented: “IVS has consolidated itself as a reference event in the world of the industrial valves supply chain, which sees Bergamo as an excellence. The growth recorded this year, added to the high quality level of the companies and the more than positive feedback received from buyers and operators, confirm the quality of the project”.

Francesco Apuzzo, President of Valve Campus, stated: “On the occasion of IVS 2024, Valve Campus increased both the absolute value and the number of conferences offered to the valve specialist public. There were over 50 moments of scientific discussion, developed in a series of thematic sessions and interactive workshops that explored the most current topics and challenges affecting the sector. Among the novelties of this edition there were the focuses on the importance of investing in sustainability and on the introduction of artificial intelligence to support the future of the sector. The great response received from the public of decision makers, operators and visitors from all over the world who attended IVS confirms the quality of the contents proposed. A result also achieved thanks to internationally prestigious speakers and high-level case studies.”

The organizers of the event have announced that the sixth edition of IVS will take place at the Bergamo Fair from 19 to 21 May 2026.
