Trelleborg promotes technology transfer at the International Sealing Conference 2024

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions presents four technical papers at the 22nd International Sealing Conference (ISC) in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart in Germany, from October 1 to 2, 2024.

Trelleborg engineers discuss the wear behavior of high-pressure radial shaft seals, seals made from shape memory alloys, polymer hydrogen seals and the characterization of counter surfaces using light scattering. The four speakers are part of the industry leading Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Research & Development team in Stuttgart.

“For us, the aim of the conference is to support and promote the transfer of technology and knowledge on current sealing topics with universities, institutes and industries,” says Nino Dakov, Technology Engineer at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. “In addition to our presentations we will also be represented at the ISC with a stand at the accompanying exhibition.”

Trelleborg’s four technical presentations will be published as scientific papers in the ISC conference proceedings following the conference. The event is organized by the Fluid Seals Working Group of the VDMA – Germany’s Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association – Fluid Power Association.

The paper by Nino Dakov presents the topic of “A high-pressure radial shaft seal with enhanced wear resistance”, while Anne Marie Lehmann, Electrical Engineer IoT, discusses “A smart seal energizer from shape-memory-alloy”. Philipp Hirstein, Engineer Custom Product Engineering, delivers a paper on “The Influence of hydrogen on the material properties of non-metallic materials for sealing applications”, and Anja Dobrinsky, Technology Engineer, addresses “Advanced characterization of counter surfaces in linear applications”.
