Valvitalia – the Italian multinational group specialized in the design, production and global supply of valves, gas and fire-fighting systems, fittings, for the energy, marine and civil industries – shared a significant step in its international development journey. Valvitalia has signed an agreement with Wujiang Economic & Technological Development Zone (WETDZ) for a new, fully owned manufacturing plant in Wujiang District, just 4 km from its current site.
Supported by local government incentives, this investment secures business continuity beyond our current lease, preserves the know-how we’ve built since 2006, and lays the foundation for the next phase of our development in China.
The 16,000 sqm facility, operational by 2027, will continue to host our engineering and production activities, including assembly, welding, cladding, and testing, in an upgraded environment designed to meet the highest standards of efficiency and environmental responsibility.
This plant marks the first milestone of Valvitalia plan to consolidate and grow its presence, increasing market share with Chinese clients while supporting its workforce with minimal disruption.
The signing ceremony was attended by Andrea Forzi, Valvitalia CEO, Generoso Polito, General Manager Valves & System Division, David Fontana, Group General Counsel, and Richard Sheng, Senior Program Manager China; Tiziana D’Angelo, Consul General of the Italian Consulate General in Shanghai, and Flavio Frasca, Commercial Consul; Li Wenbin and Zhu Yungen from WETDZ; and the legal counsels from D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel who assisted Valvitalia in the operation, Matteo (Hanbin) Zhi and Carlo Diego D’Andrea (also Vice President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China).
