Flomatic unveils 12-inch Model 92 swing check valves for industrial systems

The American Valve Manufacturer announces the official release of its new AIS and BABA Compliant 12” Model 92 Swing Check Valve, a robust and versatile valve solution engineered for municipal and industrial water and wastewater applications that helps minimize the effects of water hammer during pump shutdown. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern infrastructure, Model 92 fully complies with ANSI/AWWA Standard C508, ensuring reliability and performance in critical environments.

Model 92 is available in three versatile, field adjustable configurations to suit specific operating conditions: Lever & Spring, Lever & Weight, Lever, Weight & Air Cushion. Each model supports horizontal or vertical (flow up) pipeline installations, with field-convertible external controls thanks to a convertible shaft, dual keyed lever arm, and symmetrical cylinder mount, making installation and adjustment more efficient than ever.

Built for Strength and Longevity, Model 92 is engineered to withstand high stress and shock loads, with the valve being constructed from ductile iron for the body, cover, clapper arm, and disc holder. A replaceable stainless steel seat ring ensures positive sealing even in high solids environments, while the resilient one-piece cut seat seal provides a self-cleaning wiping effect and bubble-tight sealing across pressure ranges.

All internal components are accessible and field-replaceable via the valve cover access port—no pipeline removal required, making them easy for upgrades and maintenance. The valve features NSF/ANSI 61 powder epoxy coating on both interior and exterior surfaces, and all internal ductile iron components, ensuring long-term corrosion resistance.
