Valmet Expands Latin American Footprint with New Flow Control Manufacturing Facility in Brazil

Valmet has announced plans to strengthen its operations in Latin America through the construction of a new manufacturing and office facility in Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil. The site will support Valmet’s Flow Control and Automation Solutions businesses and will include a dedicated valve production unit alongside administrative offices.
The new facility is intended to enhance Valmet’s ability to serve customers across the region with faster delivery times and improved access to mission-critical flow control products. By expanding its local manufacturing presence, Valmet aims to better support customers in meeting increasingly demanding requirements related to productivity, safety, and sustainability.
Fabio Maia, Vice President for the Flow Control business in Latin America at Valmet, said the investment reinforces the company’s commitment to developing sustainable solutions close to its customer base. He noted that the expanded production capacity will strengthen service levels and support long-term customer partnerships across multiple process industries.
Construction of the facility is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026. Developed under a built-to-suit model, the new valve production unit will be approximately twice the size of Valmet’s existing Sorocaba plant. Once operational, the site will manufacture valves, actuators, and positioners for industries including pulp and paper, mining, oil refining, petrochemicals, and biofuels.
In addition to manufacturing, the new facility will include a Factory Acceptance Test area to support automation projects, enabling customers to validate systems locally before deployment. The expansion reflects Valmet’s broader strategy of combining regional manufacturing capabilities with technical expertise to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions tailored to local market needs.
