Pentair plc has announced a series of executive leadership team appointments and departures designed to accelerate growth, strengthen innovation and enhance responsiveness to customer needs.
The changes, which take effect on 1 March 2026, include the creation of a new executive role and expanded responsibilities across the company’s Flow and Water Solutions businesses.
Adrian Chiu has been appointed EVP and Chief Strategy, Innovation and Digital Officer, a newly created role reflecting the growing importance of technology, AI and digital transformation. Chiu will lead corporate strategy, innovation and emerging technologies, transitioning from his current position as EVP and President, Pentair Water Solutions.
De’Mon Wiggins, currently EVP and President of Pentair Flow, will expand his responsibilities to become EVP and President of both Pentair Flow and Pentair Water Solutions. In this role, Wiggins will oversee the Commercial Water Solutions, Water Quality Management and Flow businesses. Pentair Flow and Pentair Water Solutions will continue to operate as distinct reportable segments.
“In our continued efforts to deliver exceptional value to our customers while positioning Pentair for long-term success, we are taking strategic actions designed to empower our teams with greater autonomy, streamline operations, and reinforce our commitment to becoming a more agile, digitally focused, and customer-obsessed organization,” said John Stauch, president and CEO of Pentair. “I’m confident that these steps will help us unlock new opportunities for growth and deepen our impact across the industries we serve.”
Pentair also announced the departures of two long-serving executives. Steve Pilla, EVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer and Chief Transformation Officer, will leave the company after more than 20 years of service. As part of this transition, Pentair is eliminating the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Chief Transformation Officer role, with supply chain functions moving under incoming EVP and Chief Financial Officer Nick Brazis, and transformation responsibilities shifting to the individual businesses.
Phil Rolchigo, PhD, EVP and Chief Technology Officer, will also depart after nearly 20 years with the company. Following his departure, the Chief Technology Officer role will be eliminated, with Innovation and Sustainability teams reporting to Adrian Chiu.
“I want to express my deep gratitude to Steve and Phil for their extraordinary leadership and partnership,” said Stauch. “They have helped to shape Pentair into a high-performing company and industry leader in the water category. Their unwavering commitment, innovative vision, and genuine dedication to our people and customers have left a lasting legacy. On behalf of all Pentair employees, I thank them for their many contributions and wish them the best in their next chapters.”
