Cypress Equipment Rental, a Louisiana-based portable compressor distributor, has been acquired by the Atlas Copco Group.
The company and its 14 employees have joined Atlas Copco’s portable air division within the power technique business area, growing Atlas Copco’s US footprint in the portable compressor market.
Andrew Walker, President of the power technique business area, said, “The strategic location between New Orleans and Baton Rouge places Cypress at the heart of one of the most active industrial corridors in the US.”
In 2025, Cypress Equipment Rental had revenues of $17.6m.
News of the acquisition follows two other compressor-focused buys – Florida-based Air Compressor Works and Brazil-based Centro do Ar Comprimido do Recife (Centroar) – made by Atlas Copco in January.
Both companies joined Atlas Copco’s compressor technique business.
