GEMÜ expands new product generation: Manual diaphragm valve GEMÜ D20 for hygienic and aseptic applications

Valve manufacturer GEMÜ is expanding its new product generation with a manually operated diaphragm valve. The new diaphragm valve GEMÜ D20 combines a high level of process reliability with easy handling. It was specially developed for hygienic and aseptic application and is expressly suitable for 3-A®-Applications.
The manually operated diaphragm valve GEMÜ D20 is designed for use in sterile applications. All actuator components – except the sealing and design elements – are made from stainless steel. The firmly chambered diaphragm hermetically separates the actuator from the working medium and ensures reliable sealing – no subsequent tightening, no compromises. Due to the sealed handwheel, the GEMÜ D20 is particularly suitable for 3-A®-applications and therefore complies with the strict requirements of the foodstuffs and pharmaceutical industry.
The GEMÜ D20 also carries forward the high standards set for maintenance and operation by the new product generation: The newly developed diaphragm technology with bayonet pin enables quick and easy diaphragm replacements while reducing susceptibility to faults. A scaled optical position indicator makes it easy to check the valve position at any time. The flow-optimized valve body achieves high Kv values and ensures a high flow, homogeneous flow characteristics and higher process performance. What’s more, the diaphragm valve is CIPSIP capable and autoclavable, making it perfect for use in hygienic and aseptic applications. At market launch, the GEMÜ D20 will be available in diaphragm size MG B; further sizes will be launched successively.
