Goetze adds safety shut-off valve to cryogenic tank range

German valve manufacturer Goetze has introduced a safety shut-off valve (SSV) designed for the filling process of cryogenic storage vessels, extending its portfolio of components for this application.
The valve is mounted immediately upstream of the tank’s filling connection, where it protects the vessel during refilling operations. According to the company, development focused as much on ease of design, installation and everyday handling as on core functionality.
A position indicator visible from the outside lets operators confirm at a glance whether the valve is open or closed, without removing the cover. The cover itself is fully enclosed, limiting the ingress of insects and the contamination that nesting can cause. This is a relevant detail for tanks installed outdoors.
The SSV is offered in several configurations. These include a stainless steel variant intended specifically for CO₂ tanks and a Y-adapter that allows two pressure switches to be connected.
The launch strengthens Goetze’s positioning as a single-source supplier for cryogenic storage installations. Its existing range already covers safety valves, pressure regulators, shut-off valves and diverter ball valves for the sector.
