The maximum production capacity of the field is expected to reach 1.2 bln cubic feet per day by May 2018, 2 bln cubic feet per day by end 2018. The project will have plateaued at 2.7 bln cubic feet per day by end 2019.
Rosneft closed the deal to acquire a 30% stake in the concessions agreement for the development of Zohr field, the largest gas field in the Mediterranean Sea, from Eni S.p.A in October 2017. Its in-place reserves exceed 850 billion cubic metres. The gas field was discovered in 2015.
