Guichon announced its third generation of Transfer Line Valves, named TLV03. The new system provides a new closing system based on double disc sliding gate and sleeve combination to reduce ingress of coke particles during ethylene cracking process, and, together with the steam injection system, assures that, if ethylene is released, it will not explode.
Main innovations are the removable trims through bonnet openings, a «Double block&bleed» design, a through conduit design in opened position, stellited and protected sealing surfaces, the fixed wedge in the body able to avoid jamming during actuation, a low torque and low friction design that reduces wear of sealing areas, a removable bottom for easy maintenance and the standard guarantee period after plant start-up of 36 months.
