IVS postponed until May 25-26, 2022

The widespread consequences of COVID-19, including health and safety concerns, travel restrictions, and impacts on the global valve industry, have presented extraordinary challenges for the world and have taken an enormous toll on the industrial valve sector. Therefore, the 4th Industrial Valve Summit organizers have agreed to postpone the event to May 25-26, 2022 in Bergamo, Italy.
The decision is based on intensive discussions with industry associations, partners and many exhibitors from all segments of IVS. And a recent survey has confirmed this opinion. The survey among all exhibitors registered at the show was carried out online last week. More than 60 percent of exhibitor representatives said that they did not think it was justifiable to hold IVS in 2021 due to the coronavirus crisis and that they would like to pause due to low expectations of the event’s success. Those surveyed do not expect the valve technology sector to recover economically before the end of 2021.
“Our global stakeholders and partners were consulted during the evaluation process and remain committed to our efforts”, said the organizers. “Their valuable input supported our course of action and is greatly appreciated. We will communicate with all exhibitors, sponsors and speakers to keep them informed about their options and ongoing developments. Our industry is resilient and innovative. As the organizers, we are committed to providing a safe, world-class, global event to address these massive changes we are currently experiencing, while continuing our high-level engagement, discussion, and dialogue when we convene in Bergamo in 2022.”
