Chief Fluid Systems to distribute FMD products

Australian technology company Chief Fluid Systems has signed an agreement with US company Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) to become Australian distributor for its range of Hunt valve and fitting products.

The company, based in Western Sydney  and Australia’s leader for fluid handling valves, fitting and hoses for industrial and defence applications, said this new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was a significant milestone.
Under the agreement, Chief Fluid Systems has been appointed FMD’s authorised distributor in Australia for Hunt Valve and fittings products, responsible for distribution, servicing and support across both surface and sub-surface platforms.

Glen Haddon, Director of Chief Fluid Systems, said this ensured that Australian operators had reliable access to critical components and technical expertise, supporting operational excellence across the Marine and Naval sectors.

By combining FMD’s global expertise with Chief Fluid Systems’ local knowledge and service capability, the collaboration strengthens sovereign capability and readiness across Australia’s maritime and naval operations, he said.

Through the MOU, Chief Fluid Systems will provide comprehensive maintenance, repair and servicing capabilities for Hunt Valve and fittings products in Australia, ensuring that essential components are available and fully supported for both surface and sub-surface applications.

Chief Fluid Systems was founded in 2010 and is a wholly Australian owned and operated SME, supplying to the Defence, maritime, and industrial sectors.

Fairbanks Morse Defense is a global leader in high-performance valves, pumps, and related systems for naval and industrial applications.
