GAIL Pushes Valve and Control Systems as India’s Major Pipeline Stretch Nears Completion

GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited) is on track to finish the remaining 11 km section of its large Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda-Jabalpur LNG pipeline through Maharashtra by October 2025. The broader 1,707 km network already has 1,404 km ready for gas flow, with most major sections mechanically complete and awaiting safety and regulatory approvals. As work progresses, the final stretches are under detailed inspection, and statutory compliance (notably via PESO) is expected shortly.

Though delays have pushed full commissioning of the entire line to December 31, 2025, the nearing availability of this pipeline section signals an upcoming wave of demand for valves and flow control components — isolation valves, control valves, and safety systems all relevant for the startup phase. Suppliers with experience in delivering certified valve skids, pigging access, and instrumentation for high-pressure gas lines are likely to benefit.
