Air Liquide Canada acquires Barry Hamel in British Columbia

Air Liquide Canada has acquired Barry Hamel, a British Columbia-based supplier of welding equipment, consumables, and industrial gases.
Under the deal, Barry Hamel’s three locations in Coquitlam, Abbotsford, and Saanichton, along with 21 employees, will join the Air Liquide Canada network.
Its equipment rental and repair services will also be integrated into Air Liquide Canada’s broader offerings.
Cory Schwarzinger, President of the Air Liquide Canada Western Region, said the news aligns with Air Liquide Canada’s objective to strengthen its services in key Canadian markets.
“Adding their expertise and service to our existing Air Liquide Canada network will bring additional service and capabilities to our customers in the British Columbia and surrounding Western Canada markets,” she said.
Air Liquide Canada operates as a division of Airgas, part of the global Air Liquide Group.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
