Rathway, NJ-based MRO, metalworking and industrial supplies distributor A&M Industrial Supply Company has acquired Tool-Krib Supply Company — a specialty distributor of cutting tools and metalworking products based nearby in West Caldwell, NJ.
A&M acquired Tool-Krib from Madsen & Howell, which operates five other industrial MRO, rubber, metalworking, abrasives and door hardware distribution brands.
Tool-Krib supplies a range of industrial tooling, including cutting tools, abrasives, coolants, measuring instruments and custom tooling solutions, primarily serving manufacturing customers across the U.S. Northeast. The company’s roots date back to 1938.
A&M said the acquisition expands its capabilities in metalworking applications and strengthens its cutting tool portfolio. The move also enhances A&M’s ability to provide technical expertise and application support to customers in machining and production environments.
“We are excited to welcome Tool-Krib Supply Company to the A&M Industrial family,” A&M Industrial President David Young said in an April 20 news release. “Their deep expertise in cutting tools and metalworking aligns with our mission to deliver advanced solutions and support to our customers.”
Tool-Krib brings decades of experience in specialty tooling distribution, with services that include vendor-managed inventory, tool crib management and custom tool manufacturing. Its customer base includes manufacturers in industries such as aerospace, medical and general metalworking.
Tool-Krib customers will gain access to its broader product offering, which includes more than one million MRO and industrial supply items, along with expanded inventory management solutions and distribution capabilities. Founded in 1938, Tool-Krib has built a reputation as a specialized provider of cutting tools and production tooling solutions. A&M Industrial said it plans to integrate Tool-Krib’s expertise and customer relationships into its existing operations.
The acquisition continues A&M Industrial’s recent growth strategy, which has included multiple acquisitions aimed at expanding its geographic footprint and strengthening its technical capabilities in metalworking and industrial supply. The move comes on the heels of A&M launching its new eCommerce website in March. Its previous most recent acquisition was of Central Tool Supply (Hazleton, PA) in October 2025.
