A Wolverhampton-based manufacturer of solenoid valves and instrumentation employing almost 45 people has been acquired by Swedish industrial group Dacke Industri.
Dacke Industri has purchased Rotork Midland Ltd, which will be renamed Midland Flow Ltd, along with Italian business Rotork Instruments as part of a divestment process from Rotork Plc.
Midland Flow Ltd provides services across a wide range of applications, including control systems for pneumatic and hydraulic control valves, electro pneumatic and electro hydraulic actuators, local control panels, manifolds and key components such as solenoid valves, level controls, gas detection and fire fighting equipment. The company employs around 44 people and generates annual turnover of approximately £7.5m.
“Joining Dacke Industri marks an important step forward for our facility, offering a stable foundation and shared vision to build on our achievements and advance our growth ambitions,” said John Turner, chief executive of Midland Flow Ltd.
Midland Flow Ltd will join Dacke Industri’s Air Technology Business Area within its Air and Mechatronics division. The existing leadership team will remain in place following the acquisition.
Mika Virtanen, president of Air and Mechatronics at Dacke Industri, said: “This acquisition is an important milestone and supports the division’s long-term strategy and provides a solid platform for sustainable growth. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues in the UK and to sharing knowledge and experiences across the group.”
Satu Rautavalta, VP Business Area Air Technology at Dacke Industri and Chairman of Midland Flow Ltd, added: “Midland Flow’s advanced valve and instrumentation solutions expand our core offering, while robust sales channels, OEM partnerships, and long-term customer relationships help grow our global reach. This addition will accelerate development and open up new opportunities across the group.”
