On March 14, 2025, MRC Global announced the sale of its Canadian operations to Emco Corporation, aiming to focus on geographies with stronger revenue growth and profit potential.
With the acquisition complete, Emco will rebrand and rename MRC Global’s nine Canadian locations over the coming year.
Following both parties entering into a definitive purchase agreement toward the end of 2024, London, Ontario-based Emco Corporation has completed its acquisition of the Canadian division of MRC Global.
With this acquisition Emco will rebrand MRC Global Canada’s nine locations across Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario under the new name of Midfield Valve & Supply over the coming year. These branches will be run separately as a division of Emco Corporation.
Emco’s acquisition of their Canadian operations will allow Emco to grow its business in the mining, industrial, and oil and gas sectors.
