Following the EU proposal to outlaw the use of PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances, e.g. PTFE), the European Sealing Association (ESA) stated that “this will be detrimental to society and the environment if applied to sealing devices manufactured by members of the ESA.
