Flowserve takes strides toward a more sustainable future

Flowserve Corporation, a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, announced the release of its 2019 Sustainability Report.
Flowserve’s commitment to environmental, social and governance issues is addressed through the three pillars of its sustainability program: planet, people and operational excellence. In 2019, the company introduced several key initiatives to further drive sustainable development, community involvement and programs that positively impact associates, customers and partners.
“In everything we do, we are guided by our purpose and values to help create a better world for everyone, which is especially important as we navigate today’s global challenges,” said Scott Rowe, Flowserve president and CEO. “Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond exceeding customer and stakeholder expectations. We strive to enable industrial advancement, progress social justice and lasting change in the communities where our employees live and work; as well as continuing to foster an environment that values equality and inclusion for all associates,” he added.
The company achieved a 16% reduction in carbon emissions intensity over 2017 performance in 2019. This year, Flowserve set an ambitious target to reduce carbon emission intensity by 40% by the year 2030, using 2015 as a baseline.
