Honeywell to Sell ‘Productivity Solutions’ Division for $1.4B

Honeywell plans to sell its data collection and tracking business to label and sign manufacturer Brady Corp. in a deal valued at $1.4 billion, company officials announced Monday.

Honeywell’s Productivity Solutions and Services division, headquartered in Fort Mill, South Carolina, provides mobile computers, barcode scanners and printing solutions for manufacturers, logistics companies, warehouses and retailers. The segment includes about 3,000 employees across four continents, and posted sales of about $1.1 billion last year.

“The combination of Brady and PSS will create a more comprehensive solutions offering for a broad set of customers, bringing together Brady’s high-performance printing, software, scanning and specialty adhesive materials with PSS’s full suite of mobility, scanning and software,” Brady President and CEO Russell Shaller said in a statement. “Our highly complementary portfolios will immediately expand our reach to include PSS’s enterprise customers, while providing all of our customers with a comprehensive solutions offering.”

The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approval and other closing conditions. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the boards of both companies.
