IMI Critical Engineering digital FAT delivers customer projects on time

IMI STI and IMI REMOSA completed a FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) for a key customer project using their state-of-the-art remote assistance capability, recently implemented throughout IMI Critical Engineering.
In these uncertain times, it’s important to find new and innovative ways to tackle project delivery challenges for customers. IMI STI and IMI REMOSA did just that. Utilising the enhanced capability of a digital FAT, IMI REMOSA technicians in Cagliari were able to undertake a required customer FAT remotely, whilst working together with the IMI STI team in Levate, in order to complete all the required tests on time.
This innovative way of collaborating and working enabled the teams to mitigate the delay created by late delivery of some key components and ensure the necessary full Factory Acceptance Test was completed, despite the travel limitations caused by COVID-19 restrictions.
Andrea Pintore, Assembly and Test Manager, IMI REMOSA, said: “This is another great example of how IMI digital solutions can help solve problems and meet customer demands during these difficult times.”
