ISOIL launches integrated thermal energy control valve

AMS Instrumentation & Calibration is now supplying the new ISOIL Thermag valve CS611, an integrated two-way control valve and electromagnetic thermal energy meter designed for heating and cooling applications.
Combining flow control and energy measurement in a single compact unit, the Thermag valve enables accurate monitoring of thermal energy consumption while reducing installation time and simplifying system design.
The unit is certified to EN1434 and approved under the MID 2014/32/EU directive for billing applications, making it suitable for both new installations and retrofit projects where accurate energy measurement is required.
Using electromagnetic flow measurement based on Faraday’s Law of electromagnetic induction, the Thermag valve delivers high measurement accuracy across a wide range of conductive thermal fluids, including water and water-glycol mixtures.
The valve features a corrosion-resistant DZR brass body and a PEEK flow sensor fitted with HC276 electrodes, combining durability with long-term measurement performance.
Designed for integration into modern building management systems, the Thermag valve supports Ethernet connectivity together with Modbus and BACnet communication protocols, allowing seamless connection to building management systems and IoT platforms.
The valve can also be programmed to control flow according to a range of process variables, including:
• Flow rate
• Thermal power
• Temperature differential
• Inlet temperature
• Outlet temperature
• Pressure differential
• External control signals from the process or the building management system
By integrating flow control and thermal energy measurement into a single device, the Thermag valve offers building operators and facility managers a compact solution for improving energy management, system performance and billing accuracy.
