KLINGER Italy, part of the Austrian-based KLINGER Group, has introduced the KRP25, a reflex level gauge built for boiler OEMs working with very low pressures, up to 20 bar. The product is a cost-driven redesign of the earlier R25/MR25 models. It is made in carbon steel and can be mounted on the boiler with a flange or a threaded tube connection.
Andrea Piazzolla, Technical Office and R&D Manager at KLINGER Italy, explains that the project was designed around one specific use: “steam service in very-low-pressure boiler systems.” Managing Director Peppino Sampietro points to the new half-cover as the key change. Older designs needed welded hinges and extra plates, while the KRP25 uses two zinc-plated, laser-cut sheet-metal halves that lock together with a slight rotation. That removes the hinge and the bottom plate, cuts the part count and makes assembly simpler. The company adds that the new cover also spreads bolt force more effectively across the sealing area, and that early hydraulic tests on the first samples were very positive.
