KLINGER The Netherlands strengthens its control valve portfolio with the acquisition of Conovalve

Effective April 1, 2026, KLINGER The Netherlands has acquired Conovalve, a Dutch specialist in control valve technology with more than four decades of experience. This transaction formalizes a long-standing partnership between two family-owned companies that have cooperated for over 20 years, particularly through KLINGER Italy’s Burocco control valves. “This acquisition reinforces our commitment to customers in the Netherlands and strengthens our competence in control valve technology at the same time. It is another step in building a stable and future-oriented platform for sustainable growth”, says Daniel Schibli, CEO of the KLINGER Group.
Founded in 1978 and based in Breda, Conovalve has built a strong reputation as an independent control valve expert in the Dutch market. The valve trading company serves industrial sectors including food and beverage, chemical, renewable energy, industrial machinery engineering, and waste processing. Conovalve delivers complete control valve packages consisting of valve body, actuator, and positioner.
The acquisition enhances KLINGER The Netherlands’ valve offering by adding deep control valve expertise and strong access to the food and beverage industry, a segment that complements existing activities. The highly conservative Dutch valve market requires technical credibility, long-term relationships, and delivery reliability – areas where Conovalve has established a solid position since 1978 and matches KLINGER The Netherlands’ expectations.
Clear synergies arise when having a look at the product portfolio. Among Conovalve’s long-standing relationships with suppliers is also KLINGER Italy with its Burocco control valves. Their strengthened collaboration enables further technical alignment and structured market development for Burocco control valves within the Netherlands.
Wouter Noorlander, director and former owner of Conovalve, will remain involved as an external consultant for KLINGER The Netherlands, and KLINGER Italy for Burocco control valves at a later stage. In this role, he will contribute his long-standing expertise in control valve technology and support further development. Wouter emphasizes: “For over 40 years, we have built a strong reputation in control valve technology. Joining this family-owned group allows us to preserve that expertise while accelerating innovation and growth.”
Ton van Erkelens, Managing Director of KLINGER The Netherlands, comments: “Conovalve’s technical specialization and strong position in the industrial and food and beverage markets perfectly complement our activities. The integration strengthens our valve expertise and creates new opportunities for structured growth, including the development of advanced control valve solutions, entry into emerging industrial sectors.”
