Laurentide Controls has strengthened its industrial mechanical services capabilities across Quebec through the acquisition of CIV-Barsatech and Vusitec. The transaction, completed on May 29, 2026, marks another important step in the company’s strategy to build a comprehensive industrial services platform across Eastern Canada.
The acquisitions significantly enhance Laurentide’s expertise in industrial maintenance, repair, machining, welding, valves, and pump services while expanding its geographic reach in key industrial regions. Based in La Baie, Saguenay, CIV-Barsatech has established a strong reputation for the repair, refurbishment, manufacturing, and distribution of industrial valves and pumps. The company also provides replacement components and maintenance solutions that support a wide range of industrial operations.
Vusitec, located in Saint-Laurent, specializes in precision machining and welding services. Its capabilities include manufacturing, modifying, repairing, and restoring industrial components used across multiple sectors. The addition of Vusitec further broadens Laurentide’s ability to provide integrated mechanical solutions to customers seeking specialized engineering and maintenance support.
With these acquisitions, Laurentide strengthens its service presence in both the Saguenay region and Greater Montreal while expanding its portfolio across control valves, isolation valves, safety valves, pumps, machining, and related mechanical services.The move aligns with Laurentide’s long-term growth strategy focused on developing local expertise and delivering comprehensive industrial support throughout Quebec. In recent years, the company has steadily expanded its service footprint, including the establishment of a new service center in Bécancour in 2024.
