Tecnimont, a subsidiary of Maire, has been awarded a contract by Fertil Pampa, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pampa Energia, a contract for a large-scale fertiliser complex in Argentina worth approximately €1.3 billion, of which €140 million relates to the Nextchem technology package. Maire announced this in a statement, explaining that the production site will comprise a large-scale ammonia plant and two parallel ultra-low energy (ULE) urea production lines, ULE), each equipped with its own granulation unit, with a total capacity of 6,000 tonnes per day (2.1 million tonnes per year), making it the largest urea complex in Latin America in terms of production capacity.
