Oceaneering Secures Offshore Gas Project Contract in Egypt

Oceaneering International has secured a new integrated offshore installation contract for the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) gas field, further strengthening its position in subsea project execution.
The contract was awarded by Burullus Gas Company and is expected to contribute notable revenues in 2026, while supporting efforts to maintain and restore production in one of Egypt’s key offshore gas developments.
Under the agreement, Oceaneering will deliver a fully integrated solution, covering:
• Transportation and offshore installation
• Commissioning of subsea infrastructure
• Deployment of a refurbished subsea umbilical
• Installation of a 2,000-metre thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) flowline system
The company will also oversee procurement and integration of the TCP system, ensuring seamless project execution.
Refurbishment of the subsea umbilical has already been completed at Oceaneering’s facility in Rosyth, highlighting its global engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
Offshore operations are set to begin on an accelerated schedule, reflecting the urgency of restoring production capacity at the WDDM field.
In addition to installation activities, Oceaneering will provide:
• Remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services
• Offshore survey support
This integrated approach allows operators to reduce complexity and improve execution speed—an increasingly important factor in mature offshore gas regions.
The contract reinforces Oceaneering’s strategy of delivering end-to-end offshore solutions, combining engineering, vessel operations, and robotic technologies.
Egypt’s offshore gas sector—particularly in the Mediterranean region—continues to attract investment, driven by ongoing infrastructure upgrades and long-term energy development plans.
Beyond offshore energy, Oceaneering also provides advanced engineering and robotic services across industries such as defense, aerospace, and manufacturing, broadening its global footprint.
The Egypt project reflects the company’s continued focus on leveraging its technology and integrated service model to support complex offshore developments worldwide.
