Oliver Valves has provided a Double Block and Bleed (DBB) Injection Probe Valve for SBM Offshore’s Fast4Ward® Multi-Purpose Floater (MPF) hull initiative, strengthening the company’s involvement in major offshore production developments worldwide. The Fast4Ward® model is transforming the approach to FPSO deployment.
By using pre-designed hulls and modular topside systems, SBM Offshore helps oil and gas producers reduce development time, limit project uncertainty, and speed up deepwater field start-ups—benefits already recognised by operators including TotalEnergies. This methodology enables standardisation while preserving flexibility to tailor configurations for each project.
The DBB Injection Probe Valve plays a crucial role in chemical injection operations. It precisely introduces inhibitors and treatment chemicals into process lines and integrates double isolation with a bleed feature. The design improves safety, eases servicing, and supports dependable flow management over the life of the asset.
This initial delivery is part of a broader scope of valve packages being supplied to the Fast4Ward® programme. Oliver Valves plans to share further updates soon as additional engineered solutions are incorporated into SBM Offshore’s expanding FPSO portfolio.
Neil Barnett, Project Sales Manager at Oliver Valves, stated “Fast4Ward® showcases how our technical strengths and proven valve technology are helping customers tackle modern offshore production demands. Our injection probe valves continue to demonstrate reliability and superior performance, even under the toughest operational conditions.”
