The Al-Jahraa well in Egypt is now delivering oil

Kuwait Energy has started production from the Al-Jahraa SE-1X well in the Abu Sennan concession in Egypt’s Western Desert.
Discovered on July 27, Kuwait Energy obtained the development lease, from the Egyptian Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), for Al-Jahraa SE-1X on Aug. 24 and commenced production on Aug. 25 at an initial rate of 460 bopd from the Abu Roash E formation. The well is producing on a 2-in. choke and has stabilized at a daily average rate of 410 bopd.
Kuwait Energy holds a 50% revenue interest and is the operator of the Abu Sennan concession development lease, while Dover Investments holds 28% and Rockhopper Exploration holds 22%.
