Alliance Sensors Group, a div of H.G. Schaevitz LLC, has developed a broad line of LVDTs for power generation and heavy industrial applications. ASG LVDTs are used for valve position sensing in power plants and for heavy duty operations in steel, aluminum, and paper mills, stamping or die presses, and mining machinery, where a generic LVDT cannot operate or survive.
The new range of products features a continuous measuring range between 75 to 375mm, an enclosure of 9,5mm of diameter and an IP-68 environmental sealing.
Four series will be released, the PG one for continuous operations where no connector can be used, the LA-25 and LA-27 series, with respectively a 25mm and 27mm of aluminum or stainless steel housing, and the LA-21 series, with a 20,5mm housing.
All these products will be optionally provided with external auxiliary shaft seals, a mild radiation resistant packaging (30 Mrads for 40 years), or a mounting hardware including flanges, single-hole mounting kits, holddown clamps, ball joint or swivel rod eye ends, extension rods, and tie bars for dual-mounted LVDTs.
