According to a company statement published on BusinessWire, HoldTight Solutions announced the release of its latest product HT365, a new thin-film coating that can be applied to blasted surfaces, preserving the quality of the prepared surface and preventing flash rust and corrosion for up to one year. This new product, featuring the latest nanotechnology advancements in corrosion prevention, is the latest in a series of product introductions that have fueled HoldTight’s growth in the surface preparation market.
THis product promises lower maintenance costs and a metal surface service life extension.
Crews can easily apply the product to any blasted substrate by brushing, rolling, spraying or dipping. HT365 sets and cures in as little as five minutes post-application. HT365 requires minimal upkeep after application, allowing crews to prepare surfaces for further coating far in advance of anticipated project completion dates, saving time, labor resources and logistic costs.
The company also declared that this coating has been tested in multiple conditions, among which a 2017 study reporting 15 months of continuous protection from corrosion if applied to valve parts via dipping.
Additionally, HT365 can be conveniently and rapidly removed by a high-pressure wash fortified with HoldTight 102, to the exposed surface for another 48-72 hours before coating. This eliminates the need for additional blasting to restore a rusted surface. Many competing anti-corrosive surface treatments are lanolin, grease or oil-based which require substantial labor time to apply and remove. These compounds frequently protect surfaces for only up to two months, necessitating frequent re-application.
