Applus+ announced the appointment of Julián José de Unamuno Moreno as the new Chief Financial Officer of the Group with effect from 1 January 2023. Mr. De Unamuno fills the vacancy following the recent appointment of Joan Amigó as Chief Executive Officer of the Group.
Mr. De Unamuno comes with excellent credentials and close to 30 years of diverse and relevant experience in international businesses. His current position is at Telpark Group, which is a Macquarie owned company, where he joined over four years ago as the Chief Financial Officer and Board Member, subsequently being promoted to Chief Operating Officer where he has helped to transform and grow the business.
Mr. De Unamuno´s prior experience and track record are also highly relevant to the position he will take at Applus+ including having worked at Indra Group, the Spanish listed global consulting and technology company, where he was the Deputy Chief Financial Officer with direct responsibility for M&A, Investor Relations, Treasury and Capital Markets. Prior to that he had several managerial positions mostly at investment banks in equity research and at a financial advisory house.
Mr. De Unamuno will report to the Chief Executive Officer, Joan Amigó, and was chosen following a thorough international selection process.
