BMG Expands industrial valve solutions through InterApp

BMG, the official South African distributor of Swiss valve manufacturer InterApp, is positioning the InterApp portfolio as a complete flow-control offering for industrial customers across Africa. The core of the range is butterfly valves in three families. Bianca, with a PTFE liner and PFA-coated disc, targets corrosive and aggressive media in chemicals, pharmaceuticals and water treatment. Desponia, offered in wafer and lug versions with elastomer liners, covers general duties such as mining, HVAC and sugar processing, and can handle slurry depending on materials and conditions; its compact build and low-torque quarter-turn operation suit tight installations. Desponia Plus is aimed at heavier-duty and automated applications.
Around these, BMG supplies InterApp ball valves for fast shut-off on water, oil and compressed air, check valves to protect pumps and pipelines from backflow, and manual, pneumatic or electric actuators that can be tied into plant control systems, along with accessories such as limit switches and position indicators.
Susan Victor, Sales Manager of BMG’s Fluid Technology division, argues that “matching the valve to the process is central to reliable operation.” In her view, selection should weigh pressure, temperature, media compatibility, flow and available space, and should look at lifetime value and maintenance rather than purchase price alone, since poor choices cause wear, leaks and costly unplanned stoppages. BMG’s Fluid Technology team offers local application support on these criteria. Target industries include mining, chemicals, water and wastewater, food and beverage, sugar, pulp and paper, power generation and general manufacturing.
