Circor Pipeline Engineering delivers high quality 48” ROC within short lead time

Circor International announces that its subsidiary Pipeline Engineering, a world leader in the design, manufacture, and testing of pipeline pigging and flow assurance products, produced and delivered a 48” ASME U-Stamp Rapid Opening Closure (ROC) for a 48” gas filter vessel to a new customer in Houston, TX, in January 2021, with only a 10 week lead time.
The filter vessel was built for an end user who recently placed Pipeline Engineering, Houston on their approved vendor list, and the Pipeline Engineering ROC was requested specifically for this project. The challenge was to build, test, ship and deliver in ten weeks.
To meet this tight timeframe, the ROC was manufactured at Pipeline Engineering Catterick UK, utilizing the new large VTC (Vertical Turning Center) installed in 2020. The VTC significantly reduced manufacturing lead time, thereby meeting the customer expectations.
Following the delivery, Pipeline Engineering Houston provided the customer support with installation and operational training, demonstrating the value of working with a globally integrated company that combines world class manufacturing capability with local support.
The closure has been equipped with the New CircorSmart tag for traceability, document access and easy customer assistance when it goes into operation.
