LVF Valve Solutions obtains the first UKCA PED certificate

Well ahead of the transition times, LVF Valve Solutions, a leading company in the production of valves, obtains the UKCA certification in the PED field with TÜV Italia.

With the exit of Great Britain from the EU, the CE marking no longer has a mandatory value for products exported to the UK (Great Britain, Scotland and Wales): it is replaced by the British marking UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) and products not they may be free if marketed in the country.
2022 has been defined as the year of transition, the one in which manufacturers and producers will have to adapt to this change and draw up declarations of conformity valid for the British market.

Although only from 1 January 2023 the CE marking will no longer be recognized in Great Britain, some companies have already started preparing. Among these, the Bergamo-based LVF Valve Solutions had particular foresight, obtaining the first UKCA certificate for the PED field issued by TÜV Italia.
LVF is a world leader in the manufacture of forged and cast gate, globe, check, ball and DB&B valves for the oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical, power generation and marine industries.

The strength of LVF is based on a large stock of raw materials, high-quality engineering and cutting-edge technology which, combined with competitive prices and on-time deliveries, have made the brand renowned and appreciated worldwide.
Punctuality was not lacking even on this occasion, reaching a fundamental milestone among the first to continue marketing in Great Britain.

“With a view to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, we have considered it essential to update our quality management system in accordance with the new requirements of the English market”, says Enzo Mangili, Quality Manager of LVF.

In addition to complimenting the achievement, Simone Belli, Sales Manager of the Industrie Service Division of TÜV Italia, is keen to underline “the importance of continuity in the certification field created with the company LVF: the continuous evolution of international regulations has brought us to consolidate the partnership, taking it to a higher level. It is not easy to find Italian companies that are so attentive and prepared to manage a change that can sometimes prove to be too invasive for their own reality.”
