Denmark-based Modu Valves introduced its latest Modu One series to the flow control industry during the Valve World Americas Expo and Conference in Houston, Texas, early June.
The series is a new ecosystem of six modular valves sharing identical face-to-face dimensions to optimize engineering, simplify maintenance, enhance safety and streamline procurement. Models include the Modu One 3-Piece Ball Valve (A10), 3-Piece Soft Seated Check Valve (B10), 3-Piece T-Strainer (F10), 3-Piece Strainer Inline (D10), 3-Piece Sight Glass (E10), and 3-Piece Sector Control Valve (C10).
More specifically, some of the selling points on the 3-Piece Ball Valve include a closed stem top, cast handle, and an easily accessible serial number. It also incorporates a ¼” test port, and an extended butt weld ready for victaulic coupling.
All models have a lightweight design while select valves are available with a pressure gauge. The series also utilizes the Modu Safe Mounting (MSM) stem system, featuring an extra tab to ensure actuators mount securely, ensuring added reliability and safety.
