Val-Matic, a leading manufacturer of check valves, quarter turn shut-off valves and air valves for water/wastewater, industrial and building markets, announced the appointment of Suhas Mahadik to the position of President of Val-Matic Valve & Manufacturing. Suhas has been with A.Y. McDonald Industries since July 2022 and quickly established himself as a tremendous resource across Val-Matic subsidiaries as Director of Automation. Suhas and his family will be relocating to the Elmhurst/Addison area over the summer months but in the meantime, Suhas will be working at Val-Matic full time starting immediately. Val-Matic will begin a search for a new Director of Automation very soon.
Val-Matic also announced the promotion of Jason Maciejewski to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales. Jason has quickly established himself at Val-Matic, A.Y. McDonald Industries, and across the water and wastewater industry as a true professional with great knowledge of Val-Matic products and their applications in the field. With the addition of Sandra Diaz as Director of Production Planning and Forecasting, Jason is eager to give more of his focus back to the sales division to drive growth at Val-Matic this year and beyond.
Founded in 1966 with one product, the silent check valve, Val-Matic continued to grow and add products through internal design and acquisition. The company was acquired by A.Y. McDonald Industries, a family-owned manufacturer of products for the waterworks and gas industries, in 2020.
