No things by half with actubar!

Every pneumatic actuator in the actubar series of the German valves and actuators manufacturer bar GmbH is now equipped with the additional pneumatic interface of the bar-vacotrol system as standard.

The openings of the pneumatic air duct as a direct connection between actuator and control unit are closed with a blow-out-proof and reusable screw. When retrofitting control units from the bar-vacotrol series, only the screw plug is unscrewed from the actuator housing to open the direct connection. The control unit can be mounted directly and put into operation.

bar-vacotrol as an integrated air duct realises an increased level in the reduction of interfaces between actuator and control unit and is predestined for an optimal realisation according to VDI/ VDE 3847-2. The suitably developed generation of control components makes external piping unnecessary, is easily accessible and logical to operate. This applies to the bar-positrol and bar-positurn2 positioners as well as to the bar-posiswitch and bar-valve&switch limit switch boxes. Thus, devices with internal as well as external solenoid valves can be selected for more flexibility in adapting to the installation situation and environment.

Advantages
Emissions due to leakage are minimized by eliminating susceptible pneumatic fittings and the small number of robust sealing points. There is no dead volume in lines. Process operation is less susceptible to faults and less sensitive to vibrations. External influences lead to damage and failures much less frequently. This results in longer running times and higher availability for the systems. When changing components, the modular system makes adjustments to pipelines superfluous. The changeover process of components can be easily integrated into the workflows and assembly times are considerably reduced.

NAMUR+
In addition, a new adapter plate has been developed with which the NAMUR interface can be an extension to the NAMUR+ connection. Solenoid valves with NAMUR+ interface can be screwed onto the free flange surface of the adapter plate. Connections for supply compressed air, control air and venting are easily accessible from the side. Assembly or replacement is possible without having to tighten and seal the pneumatic fittings.

In the 4 largest actubar actuators of the 18 available sizes, the solenoid valve interface can be flexibly adjusted to ¼” or ½” air flow with additional mounting plates, which also achieves better adaptation to existing process conditions.
